Full Stack Web Developer

We are looking for a Front End Web Developer with extensive experience in WordPress as a CMS who will serve as the primary technical point of contact for setting up new sites within one of our U.S. Federal client's Azure hosting environments. This role requires a deep understanding of WordPress CMS, including installation, configuration, and development of both back-end and front-end services.

The ideal candidate will ensure smooth deployment, provide system administration support, and assist in the transition to operations while maintaining a close relationship with the customer.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Development, Configuration, and Testing:
   • Lead the installation, configuration, and development of necessary back-end and front-end services within the WordPress environment.
   • Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of processes and requirements in coordination with client stakeholders, ensuring all technical specifications are met.
   • Serve as the primary Web Developer point of contact to establish a new site, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the team.
2. Deployment, System Administration Support, Transition to Operations:
   • Provide system administrator and operational support subject matter expertise.
   • Assist with configuring and implementing the WordPress instance, including associated plugins.
   • Troubleshoot internal and external issues under the direction of client personnel.
   • Develop and deliver a written content migration strategy in close consultation with our Project Manager and UX Designer to ensure seamless transition and integration.
3. Developer Training:
   • Train client web professionals on the WordPress CMS admin panel.
   • Educate on the functions and capabilities of associated themes, customizations, styles, and plugins to enable efficient use and maximization of the WordPress environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Front End Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio in WordPress site development.
• Expertise in WordPress CMS, including themes, plugins, and custom development.
• Familiarity with web standards, best practices, and the latest development trends and technologies, including applying Section 508/WCAG compliance to public-facing sites.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide effective technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  NOTE: Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residence. We are unable to consider those requiring Visa sponsorship due to the nature of the work being performed.

Working Conditions:

• This role may require occasional travel to the client offices for meetings and trainings in the Washington DC Metro Area.
• The candidate should be prepared to work in a dynamic and collaborative virtual environment, often coordinating with different teams and responding to rapidly changing requirements.

Compensation Range:

$100,000 - $115,000
