Form of workDanfoss in Plymouth, MN is looking for a Full Stack Software Intern to join the Danfoss Autonomy team. As a member of our team, you will have the unique opportunity to the development, deployment, and integration of user displays in autonomous off-highway vehicles, utilizing the Qt framework to create robust and efficient graphical user interfaces. These interfaces will enhance the user experience by displaying visualizations of the vehicles trajectory as well as of objects detected in the operating environment. This internship is a fit for you if as a person you are self-motivated, collaborative, creative, open-minded, enjoy working with software and hardware, and are good at working with others, across boarders and cultures.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- QT Development
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces for Autonomous Vehicle Displays using the Qt framework.
- Leverage Qt Widgets and QML to create responsive and interactives UI components.
- Integration with Autonomous Systems by working closely with autonomous systems team to integrate user displays with vehicle control systems and sensor data.
- Deploy interface on hardware within an Autonomous Vehicle.
- Testing and Debugging:
- Conduct thorough testing of Qt based user display to ensure functionality and performance.
- Identify and resolve bugs, performance issues, and other software defects.
- Debug and troubleshoot software issues that may arise during deployment on hardware.

Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Strong programming skills in C++
- Familiarity with frontend and backend development principles
- Experience with developing a Full Stack solution.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the Qt framework
- Experience using Figma
- Familiarity with machine control systems
- Familiarity with data visualization libraries and techniques
- Familiarity with hardware deployment process and debugging on embedded systems.
