TruNorthe is currently seeking a senior Full Stack engineer with at least 6 years of experience in developing web applications. The job is full-time and remote. We’re looking for a team player with a friendly personality who can take criticism and can work well with other employees. You must have a strong work ethic, be self-motivated and can work independently without a lot of direction.
TruNorthe builds and manages our TruBase application for web and mobile that enables us to outperform our competitors and continue to grow our business within the telecom, EV, green energy, and fiber industries. As a part of the TruNorthe team you will contribute to the conception & development of this app using popular backend frameworks like PHP, Laravel, Node.js ( express ) and the front-end framework VueJS.

Responsibilities:
Design client-side and server-side architecture
Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
Participate in the planning and development of new features for our applications
Maintain, fix and refactor the codebase
Responsible for the quality of your code and testing it to ensure it works as expected.
Requirements:
A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
6+ years experience in web applications
Experience with Legacy backend: Laravel 4, PHP 7.0
Experience with Modern Backend: Laravel 8+, PHP7.4+
Experience with SQL queries both with and without system ORM
Solid Experience with Mysql/Postgres and APIS, including JSON REST APIs and API authorization methods
Specialization in Javascript (ES6), HTML5, CSS Experience with modern Javascript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue)
Commitment to long-term growth and learning opportunities.
Stuff that Earns You Bonus Points:
Experience with Legacy JS: Jquery, (KendoJS is a plus)
Comfortable to work with LEMP stack on a Docker environment
Experience with modern testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress, Mocha, Chai)
Experience with NodeJS back-end frameworks such as Express or hapi
Experience testing in cloud environment (e.g. Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS)
Experience with data visualization tools like PowerBI and/or Tableau
Experience with AI data visualizations using ChatGPT
Experience integrating automated tests in CI/CD pipeline (e.g. Gitlab CI/CD)
Experience designing, creating and executing automated test scripts
