Ellucian is seeking a summer intern to contribute to one of our newest cloud applications, Ellucian Intelligent Processes (EIP). In this role you will have the opportunity to work with a team of developers and analysts who are logical, innovative and think out of the box. Our engineers have full-stack responsibilities from design, development, automated testing, and all the way to deployment. We are looking for a hands-on individual to be an integral part of building and enhancing our exciting new cloud-based higher education solution for process automation.

Where you will make an impact
- Hands-on development and testing of features.
- Implement unit and functional tests.
- Engage with product leadership and analysts to clarify requirements.
- Assess and ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Leverage agile software development best-practices as part of a diverse team.
- Write developer documentation (API docs, usage notes, process descriptions)
- Participate in the continuous improvement of our development processes.
What you will bring
- Well written and spoken communication skills.
- An open-minded, empathetic, and proactively collaborative attitude
- Solid foundation of front-end coding skills
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks, such as node.js.
- Experience with client-side application frameworks, such as React.
- A foundation of CSS styling skills
- Familiarity with Git version control
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a geographically dispersed, agile team
- Visual design acumen
- Strong level of initiative
- Attention to detail.
Great To Have
- Experience with React and the Material-UI component library
- Experience with node, npm and the concepts of semantic versioning
- Familiar with web accessibility standards
- Familiar with features of SaaS platform providers, such as AWS
