Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced contractor to assist in the migration of a critical application from Google to Amazon and from Angular to React. The ideal candidate will possess strong React skills and sufficient expertise in Angular to facilitate a seamless migration and refactoring process. As the application is Java-based, familiarity with Java is a significant advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the migration process from Google to Amazon, ensuring a smooth transition of the application's infrastructure.
- Refactor the existing codebase from Angular to React, applying best practices and optimizing performance.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand application requirements and implement effective solutions.
- Leverage strong React and TypeScript skills to enhance the application's user interface and overall functionality.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Java to contribute to the migration efforts and support the existing Java-based components.
- Utilize AWS and ECS to deploy, manage, and scale the application in the Amazon cloud environment.
- Bonus: Familiarity with Next JS for further optimization and improved performance.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of enterprise development experience, demonstrating a solid understanding of software development principles and best practices.
- Expertise in React and TypeScript, with a proven track record of successfully implementing and delivering React-based applications.
- Strong background in Angular, with the ability to migrate and refactor code efficiently.
- Solid understanding of Java, with the capability to work on Java-based components of the application.
- Experience with AWS and ECS, including deployment, management, and scaling of applications in a cloud environment.
- Bonus: Knowledge of Next JS for additional project optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
