Fulfillment Line Lead

OVERVIEW

The Line Lead is the first line supervisor of pick line workers. This role’s primary responsibility will be overseeing the safe, secure, and accurate fulfillment of orders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leads the Order Fulfillment activities for their assigned area.
• Manages the receipts, storage, picking and shipping of all inventories related to the direct to consumer business.
• Communicates and models job responsibilities, performance expectations, and the values of the company.
• Assign, train and supervise line workers on the work assignments designated for the day.
• Read and disseminate information on the product specifications and packaging requirements.
• Continuous monitoring of the lines to ensure efficiency and accuracy of work orders.
• Assist and complete scanning, data entry, batch collecting, and production work as needed
• Maintains uninterrupted flow of work through coordination with other departments to maintain efficiency as per standards.
• Communicates with Quality Control for any defects found and product placed on hold for evaluation.
• Establish work procedures to meet customer deadlines.
• Complies with & enforces all safety rules & regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
• Engage and be Involved In Operational Excellence (OE) and process improvement activities In efforts to make packaging processes more efficient and simplify practices in meeting the culture of "Working Smarter, Not Harder" philosophy.
• Communicate clear expectations to production personnel and keep them informed of matters pertaining to the job.
• Enforce and adhere all Company policies and procedures.
• Assists Supervisors as needed.
• Other duties as assigned as necessary

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Previous experience in a lead position within a 3PL environment
• Experience working with e-commerce
• Must read, write, and speak English
• Must have reliable transportation
• Basic math and computer skills required
• Perform all functions as required in WMS
• Working knowledge of Windows Applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to read and apply written instructions from a manual, memos or short correspondence
• Ability to learn quickly and a willingness to ask appropriate questions as needed
• Lifting up to 50 pounds frequently is required
• Strong work ethic and flexibility to work OT as needed
• Strong organization skills and multi-tasking capabilities
• Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude at all times
• Exceptional verbal and written communication
• The ability to create and maintain positive relationships with both external customers and internal departments

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Background in Health and Beauty environment

OTHER INFORMATION

This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday during regular business hours. This position may require long hours and some weekend work as necessary to meet the business obligations.

This role also requires the ability to lift items, bend, or stand as necessary.

The environmental characteristic for this position is a warehouse/manufacturing setting. Candidates should be able to life and carry up to 50 lbs. and comply with OSHA standards.
