The FSQA Food Safety (FS) Auditor is responsible for supporting Food Safety and quality assurance programs for suppliers and distributors. The FS Auditor assists with corrective actions follow up to ensure ingredients meet company standards and specifications. This position also supports projects designed to improve product performance, reduce costs, and simplify processes at the restaurant level.

The FSQA Food Safety (FS) Auditor is responsible for supporting Food Safety and quality assurance programs for suppliers and distributors. The FS Auditor assists with corrective actions follow up to ensure ingredients meet company standards and specifications. This position also supports projects designed to improve product performance, reduce costs, and simplify processes at the restaurant level.
You'll get a chance to:
- Support the Supply Chain Auditing Program to ensure suppliers and distributors meet Food Safety standards for food manufacturing, storage and distribution.
- Assist in the preparation of Supply Partner Evaluation Reports that include performance feedback and corrective actions.
- Assess and provide feedback on the quality of corrective action plans to ensure the effectiveness.
- Conduct supplier audits and restaurant visits to ensure products meet FSQA standards and specifications.
- Support kitchen tests of ingredients to confirm new supply chain partners can consistently provide safe, high-quality ingredients as per company standards and specifications
- Support food quality incidents in the FoodLogiQ portal including restaurant, supplier, and distribution center investigations.
- Support the Product Monitoring Program to identify and correct food quality and safety issues before ingredients are shipped to restaurants.
- Assist in the evaluation of ingredients and prepares Product Evaluation Reports that include performance feedback and corrective actions.
- Assist with projects designed to improve product performance, reduce cost, and simplify processes at the restaurant level.

Qualifications:
Your background & experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Public Health, Biology, Chemistry, or related field required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in food quality and safety, preferably in a food manufacturing environment
- Trained and certified for HACCP and/or PCQI
- Experience with quality control and quality assurance programs. Examples HACCP, GFSI, ISO, etc.
- Successful completion of initial and periodically required training
- Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
- If hired, successful completion of annual store training
