Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fry Cook to join our team in the food industry. As a Fry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of fried foods in our restaurant kitchen. This is an opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and contribute to creating delicious meals for our customers. In addition to operating the fryers, the fry cook will also occasionally take orders from the walk-up window.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook a variety of fried foods, including french fries, onion rings, chicken tenders, and other menu items
- Follow recipes and cooking procedures to ensure consistent quality and taste
- Monitor fryer temperatures and adjust as needed to maintain optimal cooking conditions
- Ensure food safety standards are met by practicing proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and ensure timely service
- Assist with other kitchen duties as assigned, such as food prep and cleaning
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Fry Cook or in a similar role in the food industry
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy pots or containers
- Basic knife skills for food preparation
