Frozen Food Clerk-Full Time

Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Food Clerk to join our team. As a Food Clerk, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our food department. Duties:
- Stock and maintain shelves, displays, and refrigerated sections with fresh and packaged food products
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, assisting customers with inquiries, locating products, and making recommendations
- Operate an RF scanner to track inventory and ensure accurate stock levels
- Process sales transactions using a cash register, handling cash and providing change to customers
- Package and label food items according to safety and quality standards
- Assist with inventory control by conducting regular stock checks and reporting any discrepancies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food department, including cleaning shelves, displays, and equipment

Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and helpful manner
- Familiarity with operating an RF scanner is a plus
- Basic math skills for cash handling purposes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety regulations is desirable

Pay: $15.75 - $19.00 per hour
