Front Of The House Cashier/Host/Expeditor

The Arctic Rose Cafe is a restaurant within the Anchorage Senior Activity Center. While our main clientele are seniors we serve everyone!

**You will be the face of the restaurant and will get to know our seniors well. We are looking for someone who enjoys making a lasting impression on customers and maintaining a well-organized restaurant. The restaurant is open between 10am-2pm, the shift is part-time 9:30-2:30. There is a possibility of additional hours during special events.

Qualifications

• Must be over 21
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Restaurant experience preferred
• Able to handle money accurately and operate a point of sale
• Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed
• A positive attitude and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• TAPS certified or ability to obtain certification quickly (training available)

Job Duties

• Opening restaurant every morning and closing restaurant every afternoon M-F
• Greeting guests in a friendly manner as they enter and providing them with the menu and daily specials (as applicable)
• Taking guest orders and serving customers
• Communicating with the kitchen about orders
• Distributing pickup orders for the senior meal program
• Maintaining a neat and organized restaurant by cleaning and bussing tables
• Engaging with guests to ensure they're happy with the food and service
• Responsible for all cash and credit card transactions in the restaurant

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
