Web Developers are responsible for building, expanding, and maintaining the company's e-commerce website. Zymo Research is a fast-paced, dynamic life-science research company located in Tustin, CA. We are seeking a highly motivated, passionate team player on the path to becoming a great web developer to join our team.
As part of the Web Technology team, you will leverage your skills and familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build landing pages for our business units. You will also learn how to work in a Shopify development environment using Liquid Templates. Other learning opportunities will include, but are not limited to, adding and updating products to our Shopify eCommerce store and working on bugfixes. It's a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the Web Development field.
The internship will involve challenging opportunities, real world projects, and regular interaction with staff. At the completion of this 10-week program, you will:

Compensation:
The estimated hourly range for this position is $20/hour at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.

- Learn the Web Development process and workflow in a biotech industry.
- Learn how the Web Technology Team communicates across departments to ensure project goals and objectives are aligned.
- Learn how the Web Technology Team builds new landing pages from design mocks provided by the Graphic Design team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop custom Landing Pages.
- Update and edit website content, posts, and pages.
- Implement responsive web design in a Shopify theme.
- Participate in an AGILE Web Development process.
- Work in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Work Experience:
- Completed or working towards a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline/equivalent experience.
- The ability to troubleshoot, have strong problem-solving skills, and work well within a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Front-End Technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap
- Experience of code versioning tools, such as GitHub
- Experience of responsive web design and front-end best practices
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- A passion for high quality UX and attention to detail
