Continental Expedited Services, Inc. has an immediate opening in our Technology Department which specializes in delivering cutting-edge transportation management systems and products that streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and drive business success.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented Front-End Developer to join our remote team and play a key role in the development of transportation-related products. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and developing responsive and intuitive user interfaces that meet the needs of our customers and contribute to the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Front-End Development:

• Design and develop user interfaces for transportation management systems and other transportation-related products.
• Implement responsive and accessible web interfaces using modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks such as React, Next.js, Angular, and Vue.js,
• Collaborate with back-End Developers and designers to ensure seamless integration of front-end components.
• Optimize application performance and user experience across different devices and browsers.
• Familiarity with search engine optimization

UI/UX Design Collaboration:

• Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate design mockups and wireframes into functional front-end code.
• Provide input on design decisions, user interactions, and visual elements to enhance usability and accessibility.
• Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate on UI/UX designs and improve user satisfaction.
• Familiarity with Adobe suite and design tools including Adobe XD, Figma, InDesign

Agile Development Practices:

• Participate in Agile development processes following Scrum methodologies and attending Scrum ceremonies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine user stories, estimate tasks, and plan sprints.
• Utilize Agile project management tools such as Jira and Confluence to track progress, manage tasks, and document technical specifications.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated on emerging front-end development technologies, best practices, and industry trends.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and technical discussions to foster a culture of learning and innovation.
• Remote Collaboration:
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with remote team members using various communication and collaboration tools.
• Take ownership of tasks and projects, demonstrating accountability and autonomy in a remote work environment.
• Proactively seek feedback and support from team members and stakeholders to ensure project success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Front-End Developer or similar role, with a focus on building responsive web interfaces.
• Proficiency in front-end development technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Scrum, and Agile project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills in a remote work environment.
• Experience in the transportation or logistics industry is a plus but not required.
