Position Description
Front End Developerworks with the UI/UX Designer and the Lead Engineer to develop a user-friendly platform that allows all educators to easily find the right resources they need to integrate climate change into their curriculum. This is a part-time, contract position.
Responsibilities include:
- Execute design mockups to accessible, high-quality pages
- We are currently overhauling our current design system and website design. This role includes a significant involvement with our ongoing 2023-24 Redesign Project, namely the implementation of the frontend design while the Lead Engineer focuses on the backend needs.
- Develop and maintain upcoming state hub landing pages, ensuring they evolve to meet the dynamic needs of stakeholders
- Efficiently work on hotfixes throughout biweekly sprints and meet deadlines
- Collaborate closely with the the UI/UX designer to discuss the needs, design, and functionality of the website
- Maintain strong and effective communication with the UI/UX Designer and Lead Engineer
Qualifications
- Available to work 15-20 hours/week
- Tailwind CSS: Proficient in creating user interfaces using Tailwind CSS.
- Vue.js: Strong skills in developing dynamic front-end components with Vue.js.
- Laravel: Familiarity with Laravel for building scalable web applications.
- Algolia: Experience with Algolia for implementing and optimizing search functionality.
- Figma: Competent in collaborating with UX/UI designers using Figma.
- MySQL: Understanding of basic MySQL database management.
- GitHub: Proficient in Git and GitHub for version control.
- REST API:General understanding of consuming RESTful APIs.
- Responsive & collaborative: Effective online communication and collaboration with the team.
- Feedback: Willingness to receive constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
- Works closely with UX designer: Ability to collaborate with UX designers for seamless integration of design concepts.
- Fluent in English: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

- How it fit into the project (including any relevant context about the project)

- How you overcame roadblocks
- How you collaborated with teammates on this code, if any
- Should we invite you to an interview, be prepared to discuss this task further.
#4: Technical assignment + technical interview (1 Hour)
Technical Task will be revealed only after candidates pass the first round of interviewing with the hiring managers
