Movement gyms feature bouldering, top-roping and lead climbing, as well as amenities like yoga studios, functional fitness and cardio zones, childcare, and retail pro shops. JOB SUMMARY
This position is for both Front DeskTeam Member and Youth Instructor, candidates should be required to work both positions.
The Front Desk Team Member is essential to providing an awesome customer experience and drives our mission to share our passion, create community, and inspire philanthropy, while ensuring the gym provides a space for our community where everyone feels welcome. The Youth Instructor is a passionate, motivated individual who loves to work with and teach youth, provides a great customer experience, and has a desire to grow in the climbing community. The position involves top rope belaying for children and sometimes adults, facilitating games and activities, and managing risks for participants during our various youth programs. The programs include small group climbing sessions, After School Programs (multi-week instruction), seasonal multi-day camps, birthday and other parties, and other programs as needed. Part-time instructors are primarily working with youth between the ages of 4-17 for 1-4 hours per class, depending on the program. Prior climbing experience is not expected or required - we are excited to train individuals who are excited to learn!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Shares openly and honestly about basic knowledge of climbing safety, gear, retail products, membership and pass options, and class programming for climbing, yoga, and fitness.
• Delivers belay checks, conduct community and facility checks, and instruct Introduction to Roped Climbing and Bouldering classes.
• Provide a supervised and controlled environment during all our youth and other programs.
• Communicate effectively with clients of all ages and abilities while demonstrating empathy and compassion.
• Provide excellent customer service for all guests by seeking answers and solutions for customer questions.
• Teach climbing skills from provided curriculums and create inclusive spaces that foster a sense of belonging.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with co-workers and supervisors about feedback and concerns.
• Speak open and honestly; asking for help when needed and look to learn from mistakes.
• Develop skills to effectively communicate with others and listen to other perspectives to build partnerships.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work 2 Front Desk shifts and 1 youth program per week minimum.
• Availability for one week day and one weekend day weekly.
• Upbeat and adaptable attitude that fosters a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  Solid understanding of customer service skills that enable transformative, purpose-driven moments.
• Clear and effective communicator to support collaboration with others.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving skills to creatively find solutions for customer needs.
• Comfortable adapting to web-based programs and registers.
• Experience in teaching educational programs and/or experience in the outdoor/climbing industry an added benefit.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This is a part-time position.
Starting at $18.50 per hour with flexibility based on experience.

Scheduled shift times may vary from week to week or month to month.
