Front Desk Supervisor

The 2nd Shift Front Desk Supervisorat American Airlines - The Landing at Skyview 6 is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of all FRONT DESK staff. To assist guests with any needs or questions that arise during check-in and checkout.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist guests to the Front Office and the property.


• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the layout of the hotel and conference center along with knowledge of the services offered and operating hours of the different outlets in the hotel.


• Acts as host / hostess by welcoming guests, solving minor problems, and ensuring guests have a great stay.


• Performs human resource functions for staff, training, scheduling, and evaluating.


• Supports, troubleshoots, anticipates the needs and problem solves for both the guests and line employees.


• Solves guest-related problems within scope of authority, including complaints and discrepancies.


• Assists with preparation of the Front Office budget.


• Performs all accounting duties including posting charges, account settlements, and shift closing.


• Enter data into the computer, including accounting data.


• Generates reports for Front Desk, Transportation, Housekeeping.


• Oversees the operations of the Front Desk, Guest Services, and Transportation.


• Completes daily and weekly reports for management.

Requirements:

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.


• One year minimum job-related experience required, preferably within a FRONT DESK or customer service role.


• Computer literate: Strong proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel. Adaptable to learning new and customized software programs.


• Adept at managing fast paced environment and putting people at ease.


• Warm, personable, and energetic demeanor with professional and pleasant phone manner.


• Comfortable interfacing with a diverse group of individuals.


• Exceptional attention to detail.


• Ability to prioritize, identify problems, and seek solutions and follow up and follow through with a variety of tasks.


• Projects a professional and polished image that inspires confidence and trust. Must be able to abide by the company appearance standards and compliance with the designated uniform.


• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.


• Valid, clean driver's license.


• Proficiency in oral and written communication skills in English.


• Must be able to work 2nd shift, weekends and holidays.


• Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.


• Required to stand for entire duration of shift. Occasional waking, bending stooping, reaching and use of hands to handle objects, tools or controls.


• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.


• Frequently is required to talk or hear.
