In this role you will:

Be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the entire team working in their assigned zone. They oversee the Zone team ensuring that they provide organized, efficient service to patients and visitors. The Front Desk Lead monitors the preparation of paperwork for the days clinic, ensures that the zones are cleaned, organized and properly stocked at all times and ensures the daily flow of the clinic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides leadership and guidance to all the entire team working in their zone ensuring they are accessible.
  • Conducts daily huddles with zone team to review daily clinics and to motivate team to provide a positive work environment.
  • Creates a positive work environment for the entire team in their zone/clinic by motivating others and encouraging positive thinking and teamwork.
  • Oversees front desk representatives to ensure efficient patient flow at check in and check out.
  • Assists with any questions or concerns while providing excellent customer service to patients.
  • Monitors zone to ensure FOI customer service standards are met and that the clinic is flowing smoothly.
  • Ensures that the front desk and clinic staff are working as a team to communicate delays at check in and wait times throughout the patient visit.
  • Ensures water and snacks are provided to the patients during extended wait times.
  • Upload any outside patients imaging cds into Medview PACs system.
  • Monitors zone to ensure that OSHA and HIPAA standards are being followed.
  • Ensures all paperwork is printed and prepared for each days clinic.
  • Assists Clinic Supervisor in running Care Credits for staff in their assigned zone.
  • Communicates with Benefits and Auth Teams as a problem solver for questions and/or issues arising with their daily work.
  • Communicates any problems, issues, or concerns with the department to the Clinic Supervisor.
  • Ensures there is adequate staffing to handle the patient flow at the front desk and to ensure there is adequate coverage during high patient volume, employee absences, and lunch breaks. Communicates staffing concerns to Clinic Supervisor.
  • Distributes work among staff members and ensures it is complete.
  • Assists Clinic Supervisor with staff meetings.
  • Attends in-services and updates staff accordingly.
  • Helps ensure overtime is kept to a minimum.
  • Handle patient complaints and issues as they arise to ensure patient satisfaction and notify Clinic Supervisor when necessary.
  • Assist Clinic Supervisor in ordering of office supplies and ensuring all forms and supplies are stocked in their zone.
  • Keep Clinic Supervisor informed of any staff issues or problems that need further attention.
  • Assist Clinic Supervisor with training staff on any new/revised policies and procedures and ensure they are being followed and that additional training is provided to staff as needed.
  • Assure compliance with all company plans, policies and procedures set forth by the Florida Orthopaedic Institute
  • All other duties as assigned.

About You:
  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years experience in the Medical Field
