We are seeking:
Front Desk Coordinator/Medical Assistant for a fast-paced, busy pediatric office with heavy Front Desk experience to provide clinical and clerical services. The primary duties will be Front Desk managing a heavy phone volume. The secondary duties will be as medical assistant, when needed.
Responsibilities and Duties asFront Desk Coordinator:
Greet, instruct and direct patients and visitors
Escort patients to their appropriate exam room
Check patients IN/OUT, co-pay collection, update patient demographics, check insurance eligibility
Answer phones and take messages/return calls in a timely manner, guide patients through the patient portal
Make patient appointments
Retrieve phone messages and check portal messages
Daily cash-out and batching of co-payments
Posting charges
Any other related duties
Responsibilities and Duties as the Medical Assistant:
Screen patients upon rooming
Obtain history & physical
Perform pre-exams for well-care (vision, hearing, blood & urine testing)
Draw up and give vaccines following up with proper documentation
Prepare nebulizer treatments, throat and urine cultures
Document actions appropriately in EMR
Maintain vaccine history
Keep exam rooms well stocked and sanitized
Maintain medical waste management
Order medical supplies/Track inventory
Qualifications and Skills
Pediatric office experience a plus
Efficient in EMR software. PCC software a plus
Knowledge of computer systems and applications
Front desk with heavy phones experience a plus
Immunization administration certified
A display of patience, compassion and comfort with administering vaccines to children who may cry, scream and show resistance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
