Job description
Description:
- Make reservations, check-in/out guests, and provide information and services to all guests and visitors.
- Maintain complete knowledge of Viking Hospitality Group services, including specials, packages, amenities and local happenings.
- Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all hotel and departmental policies and procedures.
- Foster and promote a cooperative working environment with all staff and departments.
- Answer department phone within 3 rings, using correct greeting and telephone etiquette.
- Promote positive guest relations to all guests approaching Front Desk.
- Accommodate all requests for information in a congenial manner.
- Process all guest reservations and check-ins as outlined in Front Desk manuals.
- Maximize revenue and up sell features and amenities for hotel, spa, cooking school and restaurant.
- Set up accurate accounts for each guest checking in according to their requirements (i.e. share-withs, separate room/tax/incidentals, comp).
- Document all guest requests, complaints or problems immediately and notify designated department/personnel for resolving the situation.
- Document and confirm reservations and cancellations.
- Communicate pertinent guest information and VIP arrivals to designated departments/personnel (i.e., special request, amenity delivery). Coordinate schedules and all necessary paperwork as related to the bellman staff and human resources.
- Adhere to all hotel requirements for accidents, injuries and emergency situations.
- Adhere to all cashiering procedures as outlined in Front Desk manuals.
- Assist in other areas or with special projects as assigned by General Manager or Front Office Manager.
