```Duties```
- Greets patients in a pleasant, welcoming manner with an understanding that the Front Desk is the first impression in the office
- Collects patient predetermined co-payment and/or balance at check-in
- Requests insurance card and confirms demographic information at each visit
- Balances payments at the end of the day
- Responds to patient walk-in issues; personally resolves issue or directs to the appropriate department (i.e.: refills, paperwork, payments)
- Prepare ROS for the following clinic day
- Accurately schedules appropriate follow-up visits and in-office testing
- Develops in-depth understanding of the in-office testing schedule
- Appropriately notifies billing about any add-ons through an action in the EMR
- Maintains strict confidentiality according to HIPAA Privacy & Security Rule
- Ensures organized and efficient patient flow while providing the best healthcare experience to patients
- Rooming patients (only if needed) and recording confidential medical history and procedures through an Electronic Medical Record System (Athena)
- Insurance authorizations for testings including echos, vasculars, stress test, office visits, etc.
- Answer telephone calls, check in and check out process.
- Contacting patients with procedure results.
- Clean and stock patient rooms as well as inventory medical supplies and instruments
- Assists with administrative tasks as needed.
``Qualifications:
- Experience with medical terminology and Front Desk
- Possess strong typing skills
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and work well under pressure
- Must be a self-starter and have attention to detail, high level of accuracy/confidentiality and possess strong oral and written communication skills
- Must have the ability to manage patient flow to maximize provider efficiency
- Reliable and able to focus on details, process work accurately/timely with excellent follow
- Energetic, responsible, organized, caring, friendly and team player
- Job requires a flexible schedule

Pay: $16.81 - $20.24 per hour
