Our RDH is retiring after 22 years and we would love to continue with a new hygienist who will be just as loved by her patients! Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional dental care in a warm and welcoming environment. We are currently seeking a compassionate and outgoing Dental Hygienist to join our team with the flexibility to work either Monday to Wednesday or Monday to Thursday. Schedule: Monday to Wednesday or Monday to Thursday 7:30-5

Responsibilities:

• Perform dental cleanings and preventive procedures, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from patients' teeth.
• Conduct comprehensive oral hygiene assessments and screenings to identify signs of periodontal disease, oral cancer, and other dental conditions.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and dietary habits, to promote oral health and prevent dental problems.
• Take digital dental X-rays, intraoral scans and intraoral photographs as necessary for diagnostic purposes and treatment planning.
• Administer fluoride treatments, apply dental sealants, and assist with other preventive procedures as needed.
• Record and maintain accurate patient treatment records, including periodontal charting, medical histories, and treatment plans.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain sterilization and disinfection procedures for dental instruments and equipment.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and exceptional patient care experiences.
• Foster a warm and welcoming atmosphere, greeting patients with a smile and addressing their concerns with empathy and professionalism.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program and current state licensure.
• Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist preferred but not required; new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly and positive attitude.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to educate and empower patients to take control of their oral health.
• Proficiency in dental software systems and electronic health records is a plus.
• CPR certification required.
