Freight Shipping Clerk
Bucked Up is looking for a Freight Shipping Clerk to help provide logistical and inventory management support to the Warehouse Director. The Freight Shipping Clerk implements outgoing shipments via freight carriers. The primary duties include scheduling of outgoing shipments and maintaining all records and data of the shipments.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule shipment dimensions and verify contents of outgoing shipments
- Determine methods and cost of shipping - ensuring that each shipment is cost effective and delivery timelines are met.
- Prepare and affix labels and other identification on each shipment
- Maintain shipping records and update systems with proper tracking information
- Ensure that each shipment is properly documented and loaded with correct carrier
- Provide backup support for order fulfillment and receiving department
Qualifications
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and other light warehouse equipment
- Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
- Detail Oriented
- Great communication skills
- Proficient computer skills - google sheets and internet based applications
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
