Description
We are looking for a full time Freight Auditor Transportation Industry for our Phoenix location. Rate of Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Shift: 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. in office
JOB SUMMARY
Energy Transport Logistics is seeking a self-motivated individual who can work in a fast-paced environment and is able to multitask. This individual will be part of and provide support to a growing team. This individual will provide support to internal and external customers' needs with a proactive and professional approach.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage high-volume transportation agent vendor invoices and communications
- Send invoices to terminal operations for approval
- Audit agent invoices for rate accuracy and investigate invoice discrepancies
- Work with the billing department to ensure job profitability
- Enter all agent invoices into a specialized, freight operating system (Alpha Truck) to record linehaul / local charges
- Ability to accurately key large amounts of data into accounting software
- Provide support to the Accounts Payable department
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations and analysis, reconcile vendor statements
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced/high volume environment.
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation
- Strong, resolution driven inter-company and vendor communications
- Excel experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 or more years accounting experience
- 1 or more years auditing experience
- Transportation Industry experience a plus
- Basic knowledge of freight bill analysis, validation and freight classifications
- Understanding of the different shipping modes (LTL, TL, Parcel, Intermodal) and applicable rates/pricing (carrier rules tariffs, discounts)
