What you will be doing:
We are currently looking to add an experienced Freezer Department Manager to our growing team! The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of recent wholesale or retail experience, and has successfully operated a frozen foods department for a supermarket chain, club warehouse, food service distributors, deli, or national retail store chain.

• Supervise the daily receiving of goods, activities of freezer team members in both storage and fulfillment of orders, and general warehouse operations
• Ensure all products received are of acceptable temperature and quality, and that all accompanying paperwork is complete and accurate
• Record all supplier lot numbers for integrity
• Verify proper product labeling and rotation of product scanning into location stored in warehouse
• Conduct document safety training for team members ongoing, as required
• Utilize progressive coaching and counseling concepts, according to established policies and procedures, to track performance and increase employee retention and improve employee relations
• Implement department procedures to meet those standards and promote them to gain buy-in and positive results from teammates
• Provide training as needed to maintain an efficient and knowledgeable workforce
• Provide coaching/corrective action, training, and development for teammates

Experience you will need:

• 5+ years of distribution warehouse management experience, preferably in the grocery industry
• Must have experince in Freezer storage industry.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management is preferred
• Certification preferred - food safety, fork lift operator, HACCP
