Freelance Seo Content Writer

High Level Marketing is searching for an experienced, detailed-oriented SEO Content Writer to help us create high-quality content that ranks.

As a Freelance SEO Writer, you will be responsible for creating engaging and informative SEO content (blogs, articles, website copy, etc.) for our various clients at HLM. To excel in the role, you must have an excellent grip on English grammar, punctuation, spelling, and style. Of equal importance, you need to have a solid understanding of core SEO principles and the ability to seamlessly incorporate keywords into your content.

You will be expected to conduct in-depth research on a variety of different topics to ensure your articles are factually correct and aligned with our readers’ search intent. As a Freelance SEO Content Writer at HLM, you will work as a member of our content team and will be expected to collaborate with our editors and implement their feedback and suggestions in your articles.

The SEO Content Writer will be responsible for meeting deadlines, producing quality content, and working with High Level Marketing’s internal systems to indicate when projects have been started, are in process, and are completed. The perfect candidate for this job demonstrates creativity paired with analytical thinking.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Creating high-quality, SEO-optimized content, including website content, blogs, and landing pages
• Delivering an average of 10-20 content pieces per week (5K to 10K words)
• Implementing feedback and suggestions from our editorial team
• Publishing content on a Content Management System (such as WordPress)
• Adhering to our internal style guide and SEO guidelines
• Performing thorough industry/company research as well as keyword research
• Meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with latest developments in Search Engine Optimization, content trends, and consumer behavior
• Bonus: Experience writing for these industry verticals: medical, aesthetic, real estate, home services, legal

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience with SEO and content writing
• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, SEMRush, Ahrefs, etc.)
• Solid knowledge of core SEO principles (keywords, internal linking, etc.) and the ability to apply them to written content
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• A collaborative & proactive team player

Requirements:

• A portfolio of previous writing samples showcasing versatility and writing skills
• Availability to meet deadlines and work on a flexible schedule
• Access to reliable internet and necessary tools for remote work
• Strong communication skills and responsiveness

Rate and Commitment:

• Starting at $20/hour
• 20 - 25 hours / week
• Average of 15 pieces / week (ranges from 10-20 pieces per week)
• Time commitment: minimum 10 weeks
