Form of workWBNS, the TEGNA CBS affiliate in Columbus, OH is looking for a Freelance Meteorologist. The position is responsible for delivering on-air weather reports. This is a temporary position with varied shifts covering weekdays and weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and compelling weather forecasts in a multi-platform environment
- Produce clean, creative and informative graphics to tell the weather story
- Perform special projects or other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree, in Meteorology or Atmospheric Science required
- Demonstrated ability to post forecasts, graphics, etc. to various digital media platforms
- Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and fill-in when necessary
Travel: Rarely: less than 10%
Work Environment Set: Office: normally performed in a typical interior/office environment
