```Overview:```
We are seeking a talented and experienced Television Field Producer to assist reporter and videographer crewsmon shoots in NYC approximately 2-4 times a month.
As a Television Field Producer, you will play a key role in the production of compelling television content filmed outside of the studio environment. You will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of field production, from planning and logistics to directing on location and post-production coordination. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in television production, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize field shoots, including scouting locations, obtaining permits, scheduling crew members, and ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
- Work closely with producers to develop story ideas, plan interviews, and outline the overall content of each segment or episode.
- Hire and manage crew members, including camera operators, sound technicians, and production assistants, for each shoot.
- Direct on-location filming, ensuring that the desired content is captured according to the established plan and vision of the show.
- Solve any problems that arise during filming, such as equipment malfunctions, inclement weather, or unexpected changes in schedule.
- Work with editors and post-production teams to review footage, provide guidance on editing decisions, and ensure the final product meets the desired standards.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in television production, and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the quality and creativity of our content.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in film, television production, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Field Producer in television production, with a strong portfolio of past work.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Proficiency in camera operation and other production equipment, as well as knowledge of industry-standard editing software.
- Ability to think creatively and problem-solve quickly, with a keen attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work 2 weekdays a month in NYC.
