This is an ongoing Freelance position for a Control Systems Specialist. Peak seasons are February-April and August- October.  

 

As a Control Systems Specialist freelancer, you will help bring the magic of the game to the video board. If you love going to sporting venues, hate being trapped in an office, and are looking for an exciting work experience this is the job for you!  

 

We are looking for great freelance talent to work with our Professional Services Team to support the Rocky Mountain/Western United States. If you are an experienced control room operator, upload your resume and we'll be in touch if your skills match our needs. 

  • Provide onsite services including an in depth understanding and training of the operation of all Daktronics systems and control equipment to empower the end user. 
  • Solid knowledge of Daktronics control and scoring systems, and the ability to quickly learn about new control products. 
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills, and ability to analyze success and failures and improve to ensure continued growth. 
  • Assist customers with software, hardware, and production needs including design and layout aspects of their production. 
  • Ability to build effective relationships both with customers and other members of the customer's Daktronics support team. 
  • Demonstrated composure and ability to perform in high pressure situations; easily adaptable to change. 
  • Strong communication skills that include completion of daily update paperwork, and all deliverables for each project within specified timeframes. 
  • Understand and follow Daktronics control system best practices and using those to make suggestions for improvements to customer workflow. 
Qualifications
  • Current Operation of Daktronics control equipment extremely desirable, as well as experience using various front end video equipment.  
  • Game Day experience in a Daktronics control room and graphics software knowledge also desirable. 
  • Self-motivated and shows initiative, with dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. 
  • Be able to prioritize effectively and work on a broad range of tasks. Ability to accomplish tasks in a timely manner. 
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills required. Ability to successfully participate as a member of a team. 
  • Ability to learn new software and technology quickly and independently. Ability to understand the process of troubleshooting. 
  • Represent the company positively and effectively in all situations. 
  • Physical requirements include the ability to work at a variety of heights, ability to lift, carry and move computers, control equipment, and similar items up to 50 pounds. Ability to distinguish and identify wire colors. 
  • Ability to travel by air and ground. Valid driver's license and good driving record. Motor vehicle records will be checked. This includes the ability to book both land and air travel independently. 
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal. 
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
