SalaryI am a small shop of one person. I have been building my network of clients, and this year I predict I will need more people in my crew to take over some client needs. I am looking for people with the following expertise:
- Technical Writing
- RFP Response writing
- Software requirements writing
- Technical editing and proofreading
- Proposal editing and proofreading
- PowerPoint Gurus
- Technical Graphic Designers
- Conceptual Graphic Designers
- Marketing Writing
- Marketing plan writing
- Microsoft Word Formatting - Specifically using templates and styles to format the documents. Must be very detailed and follow instructions exactly.
The most important qualities to me and my clients are these:
- Check in every morning for updates and daily standups
- Keep an eye on Basecamp (project management software) to see updated tasks and requirements and reply as soon as possible with your response
- Have an updated PC with the latest Office 365 versions (certain PowerPoint and Word functions are not good on the Mac versions of Office 365)
- If a graphics person, must have a subscription to Adobe Creative Suite and keep it updated.
These projects come last minute and have very quick turnarounds, but they also pay well. If you are motivated enough by being paid well to be available for last minute projects and are willing to say up late and on weekends, you're the type of person I want to know. I want motivated self directed people who can look at a project or an outline of something that needs to be done and come up with solutions. Also teamwork and updated logging of tasks is very important, as handoffs have to happen to make the deadlines. Version control and overcommunication is key.
