Position
We are currently seeking an Order Processing Specialist to join our growing team. As a highly regarded supplier of goods to law enforcement, our military, government agencies, and assorted trades, our Order Processing Specialists work behind the scenes to transform our customers' orders from requests to reality, in an accurate and timely manner. They also play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our product accessibility through robust fraud detection and prevention methods.
This is the perfect transition role for those looking to take their next steps into a fraud detection and prevention career path, who already possess a background in Customer Experience or Accounting (Clerk) w/ERP experience.
Duties
- Quality check orders for accuracy and to ensure all required fields are complete
- Update individual order and customer account records to accurately reflect all communication, actions taken
- Meet daily output goals to ensure order shipment within specified time frames
- Communicate with vendors as necessary on B2B orders
- Communicate via email and phone empathetically with cardholders to confirm order authenticity
- Obtain and review required documentation from customers on restricted item orders, and tax exempt customers/entities
- Manually review orders placed on hold for potential fraud indicators
- Adhere to Cat5 protocol to determine if an order is released from fraud hold or relegated to cancelation
- Navigate multiple websites and systems in order to research information as it pertains to the customer / order
- Participate in training and review updates to stay current on the latest fraud methods, trends
- Act with a sense of urgency to report any unusual purchase activity or emerging, potential fraud trends
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year prior experience in a role involving order processing and/or fraud detection
- Tech savvy with experience working with an ERP
- Strong written communication skills to craft clear and concise customer and order notes, and email correspondence
- A "go the extra mile" approach and extremely high attention to detail
- The ability to multitask without sacrificing accuracy
- Process at scale during seasons of peak volume order
- Superb critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Ability to set strategy, prioritize tasks and meet competing demands in a fast-paced environment
