Fractional Controller – CFO Services  

 

The opportunity:

Our Fractional Controller guides the financial journeys of client companies who do not require a full-time accountant. This individual's role involves overseeing the preparation and analysis of current financials while forecasting future growth potential. They remain closely connected to our team of CFOs under varying project structures - ensuring that all clients are confidently empowered in their fiscal success journey.

 

Your key responsibilities:

• Works with the CFO Services team and clients to develop short, mid, and long-term financial forecasts.
• Assists in month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Implements ways to leverage existing accounting software or assists in conversions of new systems.
• Provides cost accounting support for better-understanding margins of products sold.
• Prepares budgets based on forecasts; directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, etc..
• Manages business risks & insurance requirements; suggests improvements to current planning methods & oversees investment funds raised for expansion purposes as required by client’s executive leadership/management strategy.
• Directs preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, etc.; compares sales/profit projections with actual figures & budgeted expenses with actual expenses making necessary adjustments as needed for future projections/budgets.
• Reviews the planning process suggesting improvements where possible while overseeing investment funds and working closely with investment bankers if additional capital is required for expansion.
• Reconciles bank statements on behalf of clients.
• Assisting clients in hiring efforts.
• Develop procedures related to respective Accounting & Financial departments.                  

Qualifications

• CPA or CMA is preferred but not required.
• Minimum five years of relevant financial management experience.
• Proficient in database and accounting software and the Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, and

Outlook).  

• Experience in the agriculture industry is strongly preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
