Job Description
Skylight is a technology startup based out of Los Angeles and San Francisco. Our mission is to connect loved ones by creating the world’s simplest products and services that improve family life. We make consumer products, like Skylight Frame and Skylight Calendar, that are loved by millions of people across the globe. Our founders are former venture capitalists and serial entrepreneurs, who have scaled the business to $100M+ in annual revenue while being completely bootstrapped. We think often about the thousands of smiles we are able to put on our customers’ faces each day, and it fills our hearts with purpose. That’s why we have been working hard to expand our team and invent, so that we can continue to bring the magic of Skylight to millions of loved ones throughout the world.
Skylight has undergone a huge amount of growth over the past 18 months and we’re not stopping! That’s why we’re seeking an experienced FP&A Manager as the first dedicated FP&A hire. - Analyze e-commerce metrics, including customer acquisition costs, lifetime value, and conversion rates, to inform strategic decisions
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to evaluate the effectiveness of promotional campaigns and discounting strategies
- Lead ad-hoc analyses to help support strong financial business decisions as the company continues to expand

- Able to make decisions with imperfect information and on short timelines - we’re a startup and we don’t always have every data point we’d like to, but we have to make decisions and be nimble
- Organized and strong time and expectation management - we have a lot to do, but it’s important that we’re honest with each other about how much can be done in a day.
Need to Have:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment
- Strong financial modeling skills with a diverse set of modeling experiences (e.g. new initiative, cash flow, investment opportunities, operations analysis, LTV/CAC, M&A, etc.)
