Job description

FP&A Analyst
Reports to: CFO
Status: Exempt
As a Financial Analyst at Apollon Wealth Management, you will play a critical role in providing insightful financial analysis, supporting strategic decision-making, and assisting in the financial health of our organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and leadership to support financial performance and growth.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist the company and partner advisors in modeling and evaluating investment opportunities, mergers, and acquisitions
  • Support advisor recruitment efforts through preparation of proforma financial statements
  • Assist with the annual budget process, quarterly projection process, and monthly variance analysis
  • Create performance dashboards, especially profitability reports by various segments including but not limited to: investment subsidiary, advisor, department, etc.
  • Setup and assess key performance indicators (both financial and statistical), financial ratios, and other benchmarking metrics as needed
  • Collect, consolidate, and validate financial data from multiple sources
  • Develop and implement data quality controls
  • Perform sensitivity and scenario analysis
  • Prepare and present financial analysis reports and findings to senior management
  • Communicate complex financial information effectively
  • Analyze costs and expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Assist in cost allocation and optimization efforts
  • Stay updated on industry trends, economic conditions, and competitive landscape
  • Provide insights on market dynamics that may impact financial performance
  • Ad hoc analysis and modeling responsibilities as required

Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master's degree or relevant certification is a plus)
  • Sage Intacct or other ERP planning software experience is a plus
  • Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or related role
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
