Job Summary:
Foster Parent Training and Outreach Coordinator (FPTOC) will work collaboratively with UC Program Staff and Foster Home Services to ensure that Foster Parents within the UC Program is trained and maintained within the program. They will assist in recruitment efforts providing a more guided Training and consultation for candidates interested in the UC program. Their role is to ensure that Foster Parents within the program are trained and in compliance with the annual training requirements of the program. FPTOC will develop a strong working relationship with Foster Parents and act as a Liaison with the program staff to buffer issues that may arise with clients in their care. They will also oversee the monthly support group for Foster Parent and work to roll out program policies and expectation to this group. This position requires a Bilingual- English/Spanish speaker.

Essential Job Functions:
- Promotes JCCA and the UC mission, programs, goals and accomplishments
- Recruit specialized Foster Parents to work with clients with therapeutic needs
- Conduct orientations, Training and recruitment presentations
- Assist and lead in the expansion of bed capacity for UC program
- Provide Spanish speaking training programs for all Foster Parents in the UC-LTFC program
- Ensure UC Foster Parents remain in compliance with their required 40-hour training per year
- Complete comprehensive recertification reauthorizations for UC Foster Parents
- Update training database to reflect trainings completed
- Work collaboratively with UC managers around crisis in the foster homes
- Conduct in conjunction with UC team, red flag meetings that involve Foster Parents.
- Develops tracking and reports on recruitment efforts
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field
- Must have two (2) years' experience working with children and families in a child welfare setting. Experience in foster care recruiting a plus.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish /English) skills are REQUIRED
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, be able to connect with and engage children, youth, and adults.
- Ability to work with people of different cultures and backgrounds.
- Ability to coordinate with a wide range of staff and be a team player.
- Some evenings and weekends/ability to work occasional, flexible hours.
- Experience facilitating a group (i.e., coaching a team and leading workshops).
