LSI is seeking a part-time Foster Adoptive Family Training Coordinator to provide services in our Foster Care and Adoption program to cover LSI's western service area. Position may be located in Sioux City, Storm Lake or Spencer.

DUTIES

The Foster and Adoptive Training Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of all pre-service training for potential foster and adoptive parents. The Training Coordinator identifies, develops, implements, facilitates, or delivers in-service trainings throughout the service area to Foster/Adoptive families and kinship care providers including, but not limited to, in-service training curricula that includes parenting strategies, working with birth parents, child development, mandatory reporter, trauma-sensitive topics, cultural responsiveness, mental health diagnosis, and anger and behavior management. The Training Coordinator will identify and monitor peer trainers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified applicants will possess a Bachelor's degree in social work or a Bachelor's degree in related field and a minimum of two years experience in child welfare services.
