Howmet Aerospace has an immediate opening for a Formulator at our Canton, OH Location.

Key Responsibilities of this position include:

• Build blend packets based on melt schedule by P.O. number.
• Take modified work order to generate paperwork for each P,O.
• Maintaining inventory for raw materials and turnings.
• Possessing knowledge of revert, scrap categories and material identification.
• Communicating with management when problems occur.
• Working with production to correct blending and furnace issues related to formulation.
• Completing inventory movements utilizing SAP software, including but not limited to, the consumption of raw materials, inputting production from other plant functions etc.
• Investigating root causes of post melt chemistry issues.
• Creating Production Orders. (SAP function)
• Working with and helping coordinate the briquetter crews so material is available to melt in alignment with melt schedule.
• Being the SPA for physical inventory at TPD location.

Basic Qualifications:

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
• Strong general computer skills.
• Usage of Microsoft Office products, specifically Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of blending and melting operations
