Howmet Aerospace has an immediate opening for a Formulator at our Canton, OH Location.
Key Responsibilities of this position include:
- Build blend packets based on melt schedule by P.O. number.
- Take modified work order to generate paperwork for each P,O.
- Maintaining inventory for raw materials and turnings.
- Possessing knowledge of revert, scrap categories and material identification.
- Communicating with management when problems occur.
- Working with production to correct blending and furnace issues related to formulation.
- Completing inventory movements utilizing SAP software, including but not limited to, the consumption of raw materials, inputting production from other plant functions etc.
- Investigating root causes of post melt chemistry issues.
- Creating Production Orders. (SAP function)
- Working with and helping coordinate the briquetter crews so material is available to melt in alignment with melt schedule.
- Being the SPA for physical inventory at TPD location.
Basic Qualifications:
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
- Strong general computer skills.
- Usage of Microsoft Office products, specifically Microsoft Excel.

- Knowledge of blending and melting operations
