Forklift Operator/Material Handler 1St Shift M- F

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Package Crafters Inc., a growing Independent Corrugated Container manufacturer in High Point, NC, has an opening for a 1st-shift, full-time Forklift Operator & Material Handler. We want motivated, reliable employees with the desire to learn and advance further within the Company. 5 years experience a must.

Primary Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety guidelines and promote a safe work environment for all fellow employees.
• Operate an Electric Forklift.
• Complete a daily checklist on the forklift before the start of the shift to ensure all safety equipment and devices are in place and working properly.
• Unload inbound raw material, warehousing materials; supply production lines; load outbound shipments.
• Check the trailers to make sure they are safe to unload and load.
• Accurately check the quantity and description of the materials handled.
• Load various size pallets to maximize trailer cube while minimizing in transit damage.
• Complete paperwork associated with the movement of materials in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maintain accurate inventory of all materials.
• Assist other areas as needed to maintain a team approach.
• Practice good housekeeping to maintain cleanliness of area.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Forklift Operator and Material Handler
• Operate a forklift safely and effectively
• Be able to stand, walk and talk or hear, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Have close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
