Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Warehouse Operator – Forklift Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating material handling equipment to safely move, locate, relocate, stack, and count raw materials and/or finished goods. Your attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse. This is a temp-to-hire position working in the 2nd shift, Monday to Friday, with overtime as needed. Join us and be a part of our dynamic team!
Job Specifications:
- Job Type: Temp-to-hire
- Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour
- Shift: 2nd shift (1:00pm-9:00pm)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while maintaining a hazard-free work area
- Prepare and complete warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule
- Prepare pallets according to prescribed work standards, stacking and tagging
- Maintain shipping supplies to ensure orders ship on schedule
- Receive and process warehouse stock
- Maintain inventory control, ensuring accuracy in item count and location
- Timely inform supervisor of all inventory issues, supply shortages, shipping issues, and other concerns
- Load and unload trucks in accordance with standard work and safety protocols
- Ensure loads are 100% accurate before departure of the product from the warehouse
- Inspect incoming and outgoing material to ensure quality, quantity, and item accuracy
- Prepare records and reports as required
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
-Must have Forklift experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have basic computer knowledge; Use of Microsoft Office products and SAP software preferred
- Ability to use RF (radio frequency) scanners, inventory tracking and control systems; no prior experience required
- 1 year of Manufacturing Warehouse experience, preferably in a chemical or food processing facility
- 1 year of experience in lift truck operation and safety certification preferred
- Ability to organize work to maximize output of shipments
- Must be able to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data required
- Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to be respectful, approachable, and team-oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment
- Must be able to work independently and/or on a team in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work in uncomfortable environments including hot, cold, wet, and/or humid conditions
- Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals will occur
- Possible exposure to nut allergens
- Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend with full range of body motion
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively throughout the day
- Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required
