Pulling parts for weld bays.
Job Responsibilities
- Actively observe and promote BWISE Safety Standards.
- Follow weld bay schedule provided by P.C. Office.
- Obtain specifications for trailer from pull sheets.
- Pull correct part numbers and quantities from part racks and place in cart (When necessary).
- Handle material using appropriate equipment (i.e., forklift, hand jack, etc.)
- Stock raw material after it processes at the Saw, Laser, Press Brake in assigned bin locations.
- Assign bin locations to parts that do not have one.
- Maintain all parts up to date with the latest revision changes.
- Assist with inventory control.
- Other duties, as assigned by Fab Supervisor.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Must be capable of standing for entire shift and sit for extended periods of time.
- Able to lift-up to 50 lbs.; ability to demonstrate full range of motion for reaching, bending, kneeling, and stooping.
- Will be exposed to extreme heat and cold depending on weather.
- Subject to dirt, dust, oil, welding fumes, traffic hazards, and high noise levels in the workplace
PPE Requirements
- Steel-toed shoes or composite shoes
- Safety glasses
- Earplugs
- Gloves when handling any material
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to read, write, count, and communicate by various channels.
