Forklift Operator

Warehouse Staffing is hiring to join the Rusken Packaging team, a dynamic, modern, integrated corrugated packaging company. We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual capable of working with machinery in an environment requiring cooperation with a wide variety of employees for our Jackson, TN facility! SUMMARY:

• Forklift Operators are responsible for all activities associated with operating forklifts including conducting pre-operation checks, loading and unloading goods, transporting goods, stacking and unstacking goods, and performing routine maintenance tasks. They must also ensure the safety of themselves, their colleagues, and the goods they are handling, and recommend improvements to operations to enhance efficiency and safety.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Forklift experience is required and will be considered more to fill the open position.

REASONING ABILITY:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.

Skills Required:

• Understanding inventory control concepts
• Ability to follow detailed Order requirements to ensure shipment accuracy
• Picking and staging customer orders
• Must be able to read a tape measure
• Palletizing orders if required
• Manual Material handling with the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect finished products to make sure they meet standards.
• Inspect incoming parts and materials to make sure they are correct.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures
• Be able to work in extreme conditions, like high heat or cold.
• Examine work to detect defects and adjust machinery to correct production problems.
• Assist Co-Workers with job duties on the machine if needed.
• Complete production reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Able to stand for long periods between breaks, reach and stoop, kneel and crouch, and climb ladders.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Shift Information:

• 1st Shift Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
