Forklift Driver/Material Handler - 2Nd Shift

The Full-timeForklift Driver/Material Handler is responsible for loading, unloading, kitting, staging and distributing raw goods, finished goods and supplies within the facility, while meeting service and safety expectations. Positions isin Receiving, Kitting and Freezer areas, and requires operation of an industrial forklift truck to accomplish various materials handling assignments, as well as use of STAND-UP forklift OR Swing Reach crane.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for operating a forklift (stand up and sit down) for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, and stacking pallets
Pull product from production line and label with appropriate tags
Rotate/fill racks using the FIFO process
Occasionally load trailers with leftover orders from daytime shipments
There may be some receiving involved
Adhere to all safety guidelines
Complete daily inspections of equipment
Performs other related duties as requested
Qualifications:
6 months material handling experience in a warehouse environment Experience must include inventory-control and operation of either a stand-up forklift or swing reach crane; and recent forklift certification
18 years or older
Able to stand for long periods of time (Receiving and Kitting positions)
Able to work long periods in frozen and refrigerated warehouses (Swing Reach Operator)
Experience with Microsoft Office and warehouse management system a plus.
Must be able to work in a cold environment (-10 degrees)
Attention to detail and strong organization skills
Ability to pay attention to surroundings
Ability to handle equipment and vehicles safely and sensibly
Education and Experience:
Valid state motor vehicle operator's license.
HS Diploma or GED
Basic math skills
Able to speak, read and write English
Bilingual Spanish or Vietnamese a plus
Satisfactorily pass forklift driving training program or demonstrate safe handling of forklift in an on-site test.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to move and lift up to 40-pound wooden skid or pallet.
Able to push, pull and lift heavy loads up to 75 lbs.
