We are seeking Forklift Drivers for our Swing Shift which works Mon-Thurs 2:30 pm to 1:00 am (four 10 hour shifts).

You will be picking customer orders or moving product from shipping, receiving or storage areas to product bins using reach trucks, order pickers or sit-down forklifts within Wilmar, LLC warehouse guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Fill customer orders and deliver them to the packing area or loading dock
  2. Obtain merchandise from bins or shelves and ensure the completeness and correctness of all orders filled
  3. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
  4. Mark materials with identifying information using the appropriate method
  5. Repair bins as required
  6. Assist in the counting of physical inventory
  7. Ensure that the work area and warehouse are clean and clutter-free at all times
  8. Follow all safety policies and procedures, including wearing and using the proper safety equipment
  9. Wear the proper personal protective equipment
  10. Adhere to Company Policy and Procedures
  11. Perform duties as workload necessitates
  12. Maintain a positive and respectful attitude
  13. Communicate regularly with the Warehouse Managers or Inventory Control on problems with stock location size and changes requested by Wilmar employees
  14. Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
  15. Consistently report to work on time prepared to perform duties of position
  16. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Knowledge

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Minimum one year experience using a variety of forklifts in a distribution center or similar environment; forklift certification a plus
  3. Read, write and speak in basic English to ensure safety and quality; read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  4. Demonstrated ability to multi-task
  5. Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  6. Ability to respond to common directions
  7. Ability to effectively present information to employees for the purpose of clarification or training
