Job Description
We are hiring a temporary full time CONREP Clinician. The Clinician is responsible for provision of core services for CONREP clients with co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders and prior legal involvement for violent offenses. Primary clinician in forensic outpatient treatment and supervision community program.
Essential Duties:
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the Judiciary, District Attorneys, Public Defenders, Parole Agents, and local law enforcement officials
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the community agencies that could positively impact community opportunities for CONREP clients
Conducts risk assessments to address client-specific criminogenic risk factors, including identification of warning signs, precursors, warning signs, criminal thinking styles and patterns, and high-risk conditions/situations.
Provides and documents services according to CONREP client’s service level, at the duration and frequency required by CONREP policy, including forensic individual contacts; group contacts; case management services; collateral contacts; unannounced substance abuse screenings; and annual case reviews (to include urine screening and home visits)
Clinical notes following any mental health service which indicate: services provided; client’s response/interaction; specific problem behaviors, warning signs and/or any pertinent observations; actions taken in response to these; over time, clinical notes reflect that the criminal history, mental illness and treatment plan are addressed during service contacts.
Participates in development and regular review/revision of individualized wellness and recovery treatment plan through multidisciplinary treatment team consultation and collaboration with the client
Responsible for development and submission of client-specific quarterly Progress and Dispositional Reports to the Courts
Responsible for development and submission of client-specific Annual Reports to the Courts or Board of Prison Terms
Participates in regular clinical and administrative meetings, including regional meetings at least twice each year
Identifies and maintains professional boundaries to preserve the integrity of the therapeutic process and relationship
Ensures compliance with MHM confidentiality policies, and Federal and State laws, regulations, and guidelines including HIPAA
Delivers care in a nonjudgmental/nondiscriminatory manner to protect the autonomy, dignity and rights of CONREP clients
Qualifications:
-AMFT/ ASW
-2 years experience with co-occurring disorders
