Foreman / Superintendent


Qualifications:


  • High school or GED diploma preferred.
  • Experience with wastewater and site utilities.
  • Minimum five years of heavy civil construction experience of progressive responsibility in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge in operations of heavy equipment preferred.
  • Previous experience as a construction foreman or superintendent or in similar role preferred.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Promotes, executes and adheres to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
  • Leads all employees of work crew, plans and coordinates needed equipment and resources for the job site, and supervise all actions that engage in the workflow, quality, and timeliness of each phase of the project.
  • Ensures sufficient deployment and productivity of work crews.
  • Engages in open communication with Project Managers and reports any issues which could affect the project plan.
  • Works as a team member and leader.
  • Organizes and coordinates the daily activities of all crew members, subcontractors, equipment and utilize corrective action to keep the project on time and on budget.
  • Takes responsibility for accurately and timely reporting of employee time each week.
  • Observes to determine potential quality control issues, and apply necessary corrections.
  • Identifies and executes best practices concerning the efficient use of construction materials.
  • Plans work in an efficient and effective order, maximizing progress in a safe and timely manner.
  • Reviews and adheres to construction schedules, ensuring milestones and completion dates are met.
  • Ensures company equipment is safely operated, cared for, maintained and used effectively.
  • Reads and interprets project plans and specifications.
  • Operates heavy equipment and other construction duties as necessary.
  • Attends meetings as necessary.
  • Performs other duties or task as required based on company’s needs.
