Foreman, Tower Crew Itl

The Tower Crew Foreman will support, from the ground up, the assembly and erection of towers up to 2,000', construction and/or maintenance of towers, foundations, transmission lines, shelters, solar systems, and communication towers. The ideal candidate will be capable of working with minimal oversight but willing to follow directions and adhere to construction industry safety standards closely. The positions are located outdoors, and the selected candidates will be expected to work under all types of weather conditions.

Crew Management

• Responsible for maximizing crew efficiency with a focus on safety and profitability of the services projects through effective site management and continuing to look for areas of improvement on our projects. Ultimately responsible and accountable for all activities of the crew, equipment, and company resources.
• Prepare accurate documentation of time and expenses for self and crew and promptly provide to Project Manager daily.
• Ensure crew recognizes and performs duties within OSHA safety guidelines as well as all applicable safety laws and policies.
• Responsible for bringing projects to completion on budget and on time in a quality manner.
• Communicate with project managers and customer, as required, to ensure that project is being completed to their satisfaction and to address any customer satisfaction issues or concerns.

Reporting

• Assists accounting department with data entry into accounting software
• Assists with database entries
• Perform job related reporting requirements per contract and ITL corporate policies and practices use.
• Perform accurate timecard updates daily and sign timecards weekly as required to support reporting and payroll activities.

Safety

• Promote, execute, and adhere to the company’s safety program.
• Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself or endanger the wellbeing of others.
• Cooperate with safety personnel, supervisors, managers, and investigators to ensure proper procedures are carried out according with the company and customer’s safety policies.
• Identify and report safety violations to safety personnel, supervisors, managers.
• Support safety meetings, training sessions, and inspections.

Teamwork

• Work closely with other company personnel in a collaborative environment to meet deadlines, outcomes, metrics, and mission objectives.
• Promote a team approach and maintain communications/dialogue with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas for continuous improvement and best practices.
• Complete daily reports and timecards.

Education

• High school diploma/GED

Experience

• Tower Crew Foreman experience required
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience climbing towers up to 750 feet, including experience stacking, rigging, etc.

License, Cert or Registration

• Current drivers’ license with a clean driving record
• Proof of U.S. citizenship
• If applicable, the ability to obtain security clearance enabling access to various Government facilities
• Current OSHA 10-hour certification preferred

Special knowledge, skills, & abilities

• Technical knowledge of wireless telecommunications products required
• Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and practical use of these guidelines as well as all other applicable safety laws and policies preferred
• Ability to read (Blueprint, RFDS, Port Matrix) details.
• Advanced troubleshooting experience preferred
• Good communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to act without direct supervision
• Capable of being entrusted with company assets and confidential information
• Must have the drive and willingness to teach other employees
• Understanding of basic mechanical terms and tools
• Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies
• The ability to use hand tools, power tools and industry test equipment
• Ability to learn and retain physical and mechanical installation specifications
• Ability to connect and disconnect various sizes and types of coax and hardline connectors.
• Experience with elliptical cabling, connectors and microwave systems.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, piping diagrams, job specifications, mounting specs, testing procedures, etc.
• Ability to work overtime to include weekends, holidays, and overnights determined by the needs of the business, must be flexible.
• Must be available to travel and work outside of home market for extended periods of time, based on business needs. (Per Diem allotments are available.)
• Must be able to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment, post-offer background check and drug test.
