Food Truck Cashier (Casual Pick-Up Work)

At Korea Taqueria, we are an energetic and young team of cooks and chefs who have a deep love of good food and good service. We have a restaurant, and a series of Food Trucks that we pop up in around the city for events and catering. Think weekend Food Truck events, wedding catering, festivals. We're seeking cashiers this coming Food Truck season, for CASUAL PICK-UP work. Work is mainly on weekends, but there will also be weekday work.

This is a great chance for a bubbly personality simply looking to make extra money outside their regular job, wanting seasonal weekend work, looking to get outside, you get the gist! A day will look like: meeting our Food Truck team at an event, setting up the front counter area and menus, running the register for the duration of the event, having a delicious feed of tacos for lunch, and cleaning up and packing down the front service area.

Responsibilities

• Ability to meet on-site at various locations around the city
• Learning and retaining our menu, dietary needs, and changes
• Demonstrating excellent customer service with a smile
• Working in a fast-paced environment
• Operating a Square POS and cash drawer accurately
• Handling returns, exchanges and complaints
• Assisting the kitchen in accurately bagging, and handing out orders to customers
• Maintaining a safe, clean and approachable work environment
• Helping with setup, cleaning, and packing down of front cash register & service area

Pay:

• $15-20 an hour as a 1099, depending on experience.
• A split of cash tips on the day with your colleagues
• No credit card tips are included as these are paid out with our tip pooling company-wide staff
