Food Stylist / Chef Assistant - Part Time

We are looking for a Food Stylist / Chef Assistant to join our growing BetterBody Foods team. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone with culinary experience, wanting to work in a dynamic and growing company with nationally recognized brands. This person will be an integral member of the Creative team, reporting to the Corporate Chef and Creative Director and working closely with Marketing, eCommerce, and Product Development teams to conceptualize and deliver assets for social media, marketing campaigns and e-Commerce listings.
JOB SUMMARY
The Food Stylist / Chef Assistant is responsible for helping cook and prepare recipes, visually style the recipes and help the photographers / videographer gather those assets from products in our brand categories in the BetterBody Foods brands including PBfit, Oatsome, BetterBody Foods, Plant Junkie and other exciting brands in the pipeline. This person will work closely with the Coporate Chef to prepare recipes and food content for marketing shoots. Also clean-up kitchen, organize and maintain photo props from shoots. Will also work with the Social Media team and Design team to create and gather assets needed for each or their departments.
What You'll Do:

• Create and adjust recipes that use products for the following brands; BetterBody Foods, PBfit, Oatsome and Plant Junkie.
• Work in our company's test kitchen to help prep and style recipes, and other culinary content, for photography and video projects.
• Own and execute the process: collaboration on artistic inspiration, assist during photo shoots, set-up and clean kitchen and work areas, maintain organization of photo props.
• Calculate nutritional information for recipes to be used on websites and online listings.
• Adhere to established brand guidelines while continually elevating the design aesthetic and overall user experience.
• Performs other related tasks, as required.

• Practice preparing food in advance of shoots.

• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and multitask across a wide array of projects in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Have:

• At least 1 year experience in culinary arts, baking arts, food science, nutrition or a related field.
• Practice working within established brand style guidelines.

Requirements
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time / contract hourly position. Typical work hours are 9:00am - 3:30pm. Expected days in the office are Monday and Tuesday with back-up shoot days occurring on Thursday or Wednesday.
Occasional adjustment to work schedule may be required as job duties demand. At times, the employee may be asked to perform duties off-site of the Lindon location in various working environments.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to allergens (such as peanuts). The employee will use commercial and non-commercial kitchen equipment.
