Position Overview:
As a Food Service Worker, you will be at the heart of our mission, transforming donated ingredients into wholesome, delicious meals for individuals experiencing homelessness. Your dedication to food safety and your at- home culinary expertise will help create a comforting atmosphere for the people we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transform donated ingredients into nutritious and flavorful meals.
- Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation protocols
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area.
- Foster a welcoming and respectful environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous culinary experience in a large production kitchen is preferred, with a strong emphasis on food safety.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is essential.
- Ability to creatively plan and prepare meals from unique resources.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Compassion and empathy for individuals experiencing homelessness.
- Flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances and needs.
Working Hours:
This is a 20 hour or 40 hour position, primarily on weekdays. Some weekend and holiday shifts may be required. We are willing to work with your schedule.
