Foodservice Trainer
Job Location : Fremont, CA (90% travel)
Exempt/ Non-Exempt : Exempt
Reporting Structure : Category Manager, Foodservice
Pay Range : $65, 000 - $75,000/per year
Position Summary
The Foodservice Trainer works close with the Category Managers to implement and maintain foodservice programs at sites. He/she interacts extensively with the Operations Team to provide support on different projects and day-to-day tasks
Primary Responsibilities
- Work with Category Managers to develop training materials for foodservice programs
- Launch new foodservice programs including setup, training, and support first day sales
- Train the Operations Team and ensure programs are well executed including record keeping, inventory management, safe food handling practices, customer service, correct equipment use, and care of equipment
- Visit sites daily to ensure foodservice programs are well executed
- Provide feedback to Category Managers on how to improve programs
- Complete detailed site visit reports summarizing foodservice conditions
- Troubleshoot various foodservice equipment as needed
- Act as a role model for consistent food safety, customer service, sanitation practices and occupational safety
- Any other projects as assigned
Skills and Competencies
- Above average knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Communication and interpersonal skills – ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Management skills – includes the ability to manage time effectively and be focused on setting and executing objectives and priorities
- Attention to detail - commitment to excellence and high standards
- Team Player – ability and willingness to be a flexible and innovative team player with a roll-up-the-sleeves and hands on approach
