Job Description
- Confirm route schedule and delivery times daily.
- Verify counts, changes, special meals, and all other components associated with meal service.
- Pack meals in transport equipment such as heated caddies, holding caddies, and coolers. Lift and load filled equipment into company vehicle.
- Deliver meals to assigned routes in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
- Maintain vehicles including mileage record, fuel, sanitation, general maintenance, and security.
- Maintain all other program equipment including heated caddies, holding caddies, coolers, and cellular telephones.
- Adhere to all traffic rules and regulations
- Demonstrate company values of teamwork, excellence, achievement, motivation and in all personal interactions with others.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and food sanitation procedures and practices.
- Attends staff meetings and training workshops.
- Performs other related duties as required by the Chef/Trainer, Kitchen Manager, and Food Service Director
- Assigned company vehicle for deliveries.
- Standard delivery equipment including coolers, thermal bags, heated caddies, holding caddies and pushcart.
- Assigned company cellular telephone.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to outside weather conditions including cold, heat, rain, and humidity.
- Some exposure to cold temperatures from walk-in freezers and reefers.
- Requires ability to use sound judgment.
- Requires ability to plan, organize, and meet deadlines.
- Requires the willingness to gain and possess a thorough knowledge of the delivery and distribution procedures of the Food Service program.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Must be sensitive to the needs of the elderly, caregivers, and people with disabilities.
- Must have valid Driver license and clean driving abstract.
- Preferred: Related work experience.
- Ability to follow/understand verbal, written, or visual instructions.
- Ability to report to work as scheduled.
