Food Service Coordinator
The Food Service Coordinator will provide excellent service to students. He or she is responsible for all documentation around compliance ensuring our schools meals are reimbursable according to the Texas Department of Agriculture standards. The Food Service Coordinator ensures that food safety procedures are always followed and will serve as the primary Point of Service (POS) operator. He or she encourages and engages students to participate daily in the child nutrition program. This position serves both the school year and summer food program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide a clean service area for food safety and excellent service to students.
- Help receive daily meal deliveries from our Food Service provider.
- Set up cafeteria for breakfast service.
- Breakfast Service: greet every student, ensure each has all components for breakfast, must walk around to help monitor students and help to control behavior, clean up tables, and sweep floors between services.
- Close Breakfast: clean service areas; reconcile POS, and count and complete paperwork.
- Lunch Service: greet every student, ensure each has all components for lunch and must walk around to help monitor students and help to control behavior, clean up tables, and sweep floors between services.
- Close Lunch Service: clean service areas, reconcile POS and counts, complete and file paperwork.
- Ensure all counts/meal components are correct and food quality and safety standards are met.
- Verify consumption vs. actual point of sale counts.
- Report consumption vs. POS at close of business.
Additional Skills:
Be able to successfully use the computer, respectfully encourage kids to eat, complete all paperwork on daily basis, ensures 100% inventory upon arrival and notes any discrepancies that need to be communicated immediately.
Qualifications:
- Obtain Food Handlers certificate 15 days after hire date;
- Obtain Civil Rights Training 15 days after hire date;
- High school diploma or its equivalent;
- Must be able to pass a background check;
- Have a clean driving record and license. (Department of Public Safety);
- Ability to adjust to new job responsibilities as assigned.
Job Details:
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 6:00am 3:00 pm
Pay Rate:$16 per hour

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $16.00/hour.
